EADA hosts a round table discussion on best practices in CSR

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is part of EADA’s DNA. That’s why it collaborates and gives its institutional and academic support to all organisations that promote initiatives which aim to contribute to a more just and sustainable world.
One of these is Caritas Diocesana de Barcelona, with whom a collaboration agreement on different projects was signed a few months ago. Among these is the “Feina amb cor” (Job with a heart) project that aims to find job placement for people at risk of social exclusion. EADA’s participation on this initiative earned it a “Universitat amb cor” (University with a heart) distinction which Caritas awards to universities that further CSR actions.
Social, economic and emotional impact
As part of this agreement, EADA hosted a round table discussion on “Best Practices in CSR” targeted at participants on the MBA and International Master in Management. Other “bodies with a heart” took part such as Centre Comercial El Triangle and Hotel Arts, in addition to the consultant, Jordi Alavedra. The event was chaired by Ramon Noguera, EADA’s Head of Studies. According to Mr Noguera, “for most people these initiatives give them great emotional satisfaction and reaffirm their commitment to their company or their organisation”.
EADA’s representative also emphasised the need for the academic world’s involvement in CSR practices. “It is absolutely essential in order to train future managers in best practises for socially responsible management and it will not only have an impact on the environment but will also have a positive effect on the company’s productivity and profit and loss account”.
