Quality
The European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and the changes introduced in university legislation in Catalonia and Spain establish that higher education institutions (including Business Schools) must ensure that their activities comply with the objectives associated with the programs they offer, while also striving for continuous improvement. Accordingly, this legal framework stipulates that universities must have formally established and publicly available Internal Quality Assurance Systems (IQAS).
In 2012, EADA certified the design of its first Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS), which outlines the processes and procedures aimed at promoting the continuous improvement of academic programs and the mechanisms that ensure and guarantee the quality of teaching and learning processes.
The IQAS was developed in accordance with the guidelines established by the AQU quality agency, within the framework of the AUDIT program. This program aligns with the standards and guidelines for quality assurance in the European Higher Education Area and is conceived as an institution-wide system, common to the entire university, with the objective of ensuring a consistent approach across all academic centers.
Due to the nature of the degrees offered and EADA’s affiliation with different universities depending on the degree awarded, EADA’s IQAS processes and procedures are adapted and directly reference the institutional IQAS of these universities (Uvic-UCC and UOC). This dual structure enables the system and the management of processes and procedures to remain faithful to the institution’s operational reality, while maintaining alignment with the systems of the partner universities. This alignment is essential, as both sets of processes are often required to effectively implement the established guidelines and fulfill the continuous improvement cycle.
