Jordi Díaz finishes his term as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Executive MBA CouncilAt this year’s annual conference in Paris, Jordi Díaz received recognition for his 4 years of service on the Board of Trustees of the Executive MBA Council (EMBAC).

EMBAC is the leading worldwide association that brings together the best Executive MBA programmes on an international level and is widely regarded as a “think tank” for this exclusive segment of Business School programmes.

Over these last 4 years Jordi Díaz has had the opportunity to lead the research committee and more recently he has been the Chairman of the board, and was the first non North American to hold this post of high responsibility in an organisation that this year is now into its 30eth year.

Jordi Díaz joined the board with a clear mission, that of helping to internationalise this American organisation and the results show that it is now much more international, with representatives on the board from the United States, Europe, Asia and Latin America.

Both Michael Desiderio, the EMBAC Executive Manager, and Dr. Gonzalo Freixes, its current President, underlined Jordi Díaz’s contribution to the organisation and to the Executive MBA programmes industry as a whole:

To my compatriota and good friend: As the first EMBA Council Chair outside of North America, Jordi was instrumental in helping with the globalization of the EMBA brand. He helped strengthen the council’s presence in Europe, Latin America, and beyond. Jordi’s brand of steady leadership and novelty of ideas have helped the council accomplish so many of its goals. He has a unique sense of inclusion, which has made all of our members, old and new alike, always feel welcome. This sense of community and family he helped foster has left a permanent mark in EMBAC. Moltes gràcies. Dr. Gonzalo Freixes – Associate Dean, UCLA Anderson

I had the honor of working with Jordi Diaz very closely during his tenure on the EMBA Council Board of Trustees. Everything Jordi got involved with he did with passion, excellence, and a level of leadership that will indeed be missed. As the Executive Director for a non-profit organization with a global membership, part of what makes us successful is tapping the knowledge and skills of industry leaders who know how to get things done. Jordi Diaz knows how to get things done both strategically and tactically…a gift I appreciate and respect! Michael Desiderio – Executive Director, Executive MBA Council
