EADA at Intel European Research & Innovation Conference 2012

Vagish Sharma, a current student on the International MBA (EADA), will be giving a paper on behalf of EADA at the Intel European Research & Innovation Conference 2012 that will be held in Barcelona on October 22nd and 23rd focused on "Building an intelligent, sustainable and integrated society through research and innovation"

He will be speaking about "Social Entrepreneurship & Environmental Sustainability", what it is, its principles, how it brings about social change and society’s need for social entrepreneurs in the corporate world.

Vagish Sharma

Vagish Sharma has professional experience in formulation of business strategies, policy research, advisory and teaching in governance, social entrepreneurship, education and environmental sustainability and has led assignments of various international and national organisations including U.S.Department of Energy (DOE), World Bank, DFID, USAID, UNFCCC, MNRE, MoEF. He has working knowledge in project development, risk management, techno-commercial ideas generation, strategic market acquisition and carbon neutral technology cooperation.

Recently, he has been selected & invited by Japan Ministry of Foreign Affairs to attend the prestigious JENESYS “East Asia Future Leaders” programme on Energy Security and Low carbon policy governance held at Tokyo, Japan. In the year 2011, he was selected as “Young Global Energy Leader” by Waterloo Global Science Initiative (WGSI) to represent India at Equinox Energy Summit held at University of Waterloo, Canada. Besides, he was selected as “Young Entrepreneur” by Government of India, for his social idea integration towards Scaling up of renewable energy technologies and was nominated as “Young Economist” for the year 2009 by Christ University.

He has participated in panel discussions organized by several organisations like IETA, IEA, World Bank, UNFCCC, UNEP & has publications in prestigious journals. Recently, he has published his book with Lambert Publisher on the issues of education, pollution and environmental sustainability. He has been appreciated by NASA, World Bank, United Nations (UN), and UNESCO for his entrepreneurial approach towards environmental sustainability.
