“We all have a creative brain; the important thing is to know how to use it”. With these words, Harvard researcher and professor, Shelley Carson, will be commencing the workshop on Neurocreativity that the EADA Innovation Center has organised next Tuesday 17th in the morning at the Hotel Majestic in the center of Barcelona.

The workshops will be dealing with the latest developments in the neurosciences and psychology which give us further insight into how creativity works inside our brain. According to Carson, there are seven different ways of being creative: Connect, Reason, Envision, Absorb, Transform, Evaluate and Stream. Each of these mindsets is essential for completing a creative process but we humans tend to limit ourselves within our comfort zone. The workshop"s main objective is to learn how to combine the seven creative mindsets (the "CREATES" method). Furthermore, participants will find out whether their creative style is deliberate or spontaneous and will also acquire skills for using both styles.

Shelley Carson teaches and researches creativity, psychopathology and resilience at Harvard University. Television channels such as Discovery Channel, CNN and NPR have shown programmes on her work. Her seminar "Creativity: geniuses, madmen and Harvard students" has received several awards.
