In collaboration with Barcelona Activa, EADA, IESE and ESADE sponsored as Knowledge Partners an international conference which proposed Barcelona as the headquarters of corporate universities of multinational companies. The Forum constituted an unbeatable opportunity for sharing the latest trends in manager training and setting the foundations for addressing future challenges on an international level.

Mr. David Parcerisas, President of the Board of Trustees of EADA Foundation chaired one of the round table discussions which was also attended by representatives from Gas Natural Fenosa, Schneider and the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD).

According to José Angel Fernandez Izard, for Gas Natural Fenosa, a pioneer in the launching of Spanish corporate universities in the year 2000, the objectives of the Corporate University are: to provide support in order to integrate and transmit the culture and knowledge management.

Jean-Pierre Loizeau on behalf of Schneider Electric, whose Corporate University boasts 20 years of tradition, stated that the objective is to create your own brand of comprehensive education in a broader context which constitutes a way of retaining talent via 3 missions: Training, transforming and inspiring.

In the EFMD Jan Jineberge considers that the Corporate University’s objective is to become a business partner. He views it as a business support that is focussed on impacting the organisation within a context where organisations are constantly undergoing transformations.
