Management FoundationsFinance for ManagersParticipants will understand and analyse the company's or departments financial situation by using tools such as the balance sheet, profit and loss statement and cash flow analysis. Strategic ManagementTo understand how a company works and how it makes decisions we must address the most basic questions in management: What does management mean? What does a manager do? How does the decision-making process work in a company? Professional DevelopmentSkills are developed to coordinate and to manage people in an organization and to participate in a work team. This part of the module will be carried out at the Residential Training Centre in Collbató. International WeekFor two weeks, participants have the opportunity to choose two optional subjects. The "international week" module encompasses all EADA full-time programmes, and is an ideal opportunity to make contact with participants on other programmes. In order to provide another perspective, EADA has invited visiting faculty from partner schools and managers with outstanding experience. HR ManagementHuman Resources PlanningQuantitative and qualitative personnel planning are studied, as are criteria and techniques used to determine staff turnover. This goes beyond numerical calculations in that it is a far more complex decision making policy. From Analysis and Job Description to Management of CompetenciesThe different assessment techniques are taught practically. Analyses are made using different methods and description and evaluation models are designed. At the same time as looking at the most commonly used methods on the market. Personnel SelectionThis class teaches the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out a selection process, from recruitment to tests and in depth interviews. The focus is on role playing of job interviews, CV analysis, etc. Job AppraisalThe company designs mechanisms of information and control to adjust appraisal to their necessities. This class deals with design and implementation of these mechanisms, including the job appraisal interview. Training and DevelopmentParticipants acquire knowledge and practice in designing training plans: detection of needs, controlling and evaluating its implementation. Remuneration SystemsRewards and incentives are considered in different scenarios depending on the incentive policy of the company, the evaluation of the job position, job appraisal, the composition of the salary, etc. Internal CommunicationThe internal communication policies and needs of the company are analysed. Participants design a Communication Plan, according to the strategy of the organization. Labour RelationsAdministration of Personnel and Labour RelationsThree subjects are included: individual labour relations, collective labour relations, and Social Security. Legislation and regulations concerning contractual relations between staff and companies are covered. Employment Risks ManagementSafety management includes the study of effective regulations and also of the techniques needed to prevent accidents and illnesses at the workplace. Organizational DevelopmentHuman Resource Strategic ManagementIn this class, participants will study human resources policy as a fundamental instrument of company policy, where it is integrated into all departmental and company policy. Presenting ExperiencesThroughout the programme, professionals from different sectors and areas of HR will be invited to talk about and share their experiences with the participants. Final ProjectThe final project aim to ensure that participants learn to apply the results of their academic study to real-life management problems and solutions. |
