BooksThe EADA Documentation Centre has a total of 12,000 specialised books on business and related subjects. Books published after 1975 are located in the Library room. Books prior to this date are kept in storage at our Residential Centre at Collbató and can be requested from the library staff. The library collection can be consulted through the automised catalogue using the INMAGIC programme. Periodicals The EADA documentation Centre has a collection of 140 national and international specialised periodical publications. |  |
Periodicals are to be found in the bookcases in the Library room designated for magazines. They contain issues of the last three years. Previous issues of some magazines are kept separately for their documental value and can also be consulted on request. A series of old collections are also conserved because of their general interest to the institution. Databases and CD-ROMThe EADA Documentation Centre has a collection of CD-ROM's on business subjects and company databases, that can be used from any of the EADA computers on request. The most frequent databases may be consulted via the intranet. They are installed in a CD tower which is regularly updated. These databases are as follows: - SABE System for the analysis of Spanish balance sheets (CD-ROM): A financial database which contains the balance sheets of major Spanish companies and a programme for financial analysis.
- INFORMA (on line): An online database, updated daily, covering more than 6 million companies, with information on Finance and the Economy from official and public sources.
- D&B MARKETING (CD-ROM): Marketing database with information on more than 700,000 Spanish companies.
- INFOTRAC (CD-ROM): Enterprise world periodical articles. You can find articles about themes like: finance, mergers and acquisitions, international trade, management, new technologies and products, investmeent, bank, regional and local business.
- CISS fiscal (CD-ROM): A database which contains the full, up-to-date text of Spanish tax legislation.
- QUANTOR fiscal (CD-ROM): Legislation, statutes, jurisprudence, examples, cases, and specimen documents and forms relating to tax matters.
- QUANTOR social (CD-ROM): Database that integrates in a unique information and search tool all the labour and social security information.
- BOE (on line): Official Gazette of the Spanish government (legislation).
- DOGC (on line): Official Journal of the Catalan government (legislation).
- El País Newspaper Yearbook: Articles, tables, images and statistics on the various sectors of economic activity in Spain.
- Bank "La Caixa" Economic Yearbook of Spain: A collection of statistical data and socio-economic indicators for each of the 3,181 municipal areas of more than 1,000 inhabitants existing in Spain, whose combined population represents 96% of the total Spanish population.
- Bank "La Caixa" Commercial Yearbook of Spain: A database containing information relating to each of the 3,181 municipal areas with more than 1,000 inhabitants, together with the corresponding provincial and regional totals; the totals include all municipal areas in the respective province or region.
- Statistical Information from the Department of Labour: statistical data on the labour market in Catalonia.
VideosThe EADA Documentation Centre has an extensive specialised collection of more than 400 videos, many of which are used in class to illustrate the teacher's presentation. They can also be viewed in the library, in the assigned area. Some of the videos are part of the English teaching material and can be borrowed for a week on request. STUDENT projectsA series of collections of projects prepared by participants are kept in the Documentation Centre and are an important source for consultation. Part of this collection is available in electronic format (Acrobat © and can be consulted through the catalogue). The projects can be consulted and borrowed in the same way as any other book and are to be found in the general catalogue of the Library. Technical archivesThese archives contain various kinds of documents, "reports", "Dossiers", "Papers", etc. of business interest.
