What is Outdoor Training?

Outdoor Training is a training methodology that is based on reproducing business situations via simulations and outdoor activities

It is what is called an "experiential methodology" because it starts by focussing on what participants have just experienced. Once these "out of class" situations are over, the group reflects on what has taken place and analogies are drawn with what goes on in organisations. Finally, work is done around psychological and management concepts (Kolb, Hertberg,...) in order to reinforce learning. In other words, learning results from a group experience, reflection around what has taken place and further conceptualisation.

The final step of the process involves the transfer of what has been learned to the company context through specific actions and projects.

Where do these activities take place?

EADA has its own Residential Training centre with an "Open air Classroom" that has been especially designed for this methodology. What's more, the Training Centre's surroundings in the vicinity of Montserrat are also ideally suited for other activities: caves, rivers, mountains etc.

On other occasions we send our professionals to other natural environments and other countries.
