"CSR and the environment: commitment or image makeover". EADA congregated over 1500 professionals and company managers at the 2009-10 Academic Year Inauguration Ceremony held in the Palau de la Música in Barcelona.

Barcelona, October 5th, 2009. The event was attended by different members of the EADA Board of Trustees, including Josep Lluís Bonet, president of Freixenet; Hans Meinke, president of the Management Board of Círculo de Lectores; Francisco Martín Frías, General Manager of MRW and Carmen Mur, CEO of Manpower, among others.

Before a full audience teaming with managers, entrepreneurs and recent graduates, Jesús Navarro, president of Greenpeace España, publicly questioned whether what is so often alluded to as Corporate Social Responsibility and its relationship with the environment actually stemmed from a real commitment or was "simply a green image makeover". On its part, EADA, committed to the environment, pointed out the need for further mutual collaboration between non government organisations and management schools that defend sustainability, training their managers in values which "unfortunately have been lost as today's reality shows us".

The organisation's objective is to protect and defend the environment, intervening in different points around the Planet where attacks against Nature are being perpetrated. Greenpeace carries out campaigns to stop climate change, protect biodiversity, put an end to nuclear energy and arms and to promote peace. Greenpeace currently has around three million members worldwide. With their efforts the organisation tries to address the increasing environmental degradation of the Planet.

The ceremony finished with the handing out of Awards to the best projects as well as the diplomas to participants of the 2007/2008 Academic Year.
