Speaker:                 

Oriol Amat, Professor of Financial Economics and Accounting, Universitat Pompeu Fabra

Oriol Amat is a professor of financial economics and accounting at  the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF). He is also director of the UPF Centre for Teaching Quality and Innovation and director of the master in Accounting and Financial Management, organized by IDEC-UPF. He has been the president of the European Case Committee and is currently a member of the Board of the Catalan Association of Economists and of the Permanent Board of the Management Accounting Commission of the Spanish Association of Accounting and Administration, as well as vice-president of the Catalan Association of Accounting and Management.

Oriol Amat earned a degree in business administration and an MBA from ESADE Business School. He also earned a PhD in economics from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and a successfully completed the International Teachers Program from the Stockholm School of Economics.
