Leadership 2.0 - Managing people in virtual environments

Objectives

To raise awareness among managers about ways to lead in new work environments characterized by geographical dispersion and the use of Internet.
To lead flexible organizational structures and networks.
To attract, retain and develop talent in knowledge-intensive organizations.
To create an open and collaborative culture conducive to innovation.
To practice effective techniques and Internet systems in managing people in 2.0 environments.
To carry out effective coordination and management of projects with virtual teams.

Methodology

The programme is highly participative, using a mix of methodologies to achieve its goals: online tasks, conceptual presentations, videos, team work, quizzes, exercises and simulations.

The sessions will be in the IT classroom in EADA, but participants may bring their own laptops.

Aimed at

Executives and managers who work with geographically dispersed teams and want to improve the way they lead and manage their projects.

Programme

Online Pre-course

The participants simulate the creation of a virtual team using different tools on the Internet. It explores the possibilities offered by new technologies.

Starting an Internet project.

On campus programme

The birth of a new way of leading and working: the generational change, the Internet and Web 2.0.
The impact on different working environments: case studies and best practices in companies.
Simulation Exercise 1: attract, retain, develop and manage knowledge. Identification of success factors and barriers to change.
Simulation Exercise 2: managing projects with virtual teams.
Transfer of business concepts to the participants.
