ATHINA SISMANIDOU
Operations Management and Technology Systems

Athina Sismanidou holds a MBA degree from Manchester Business School and is a graduate in law studies from the University of Athens. She has worked with the travel industry for more than 15 years during which she has participated in various projects with hotel and car rental companies, tour operators, airlines and travel agencies. She has held management positions at Amadeus Global Travel Distribution in the areas of marketing and strategy and has acted as a member of the Board of Directors in 'Vivacances'. Athina currently teaches the subjects at EADA on the topics Tourism and Hospitality Distribution and Management Information Systems.

JASON FILBY
Marketing

Jason started his career at Marks & Spencer's in London, and has spent his working life in marketing and business development roles in the retailing, healthcare and not for profit sectors. He has been an associate professor at EADA since January 2009, researching Climate Change and Green Business, which has lead to his main focus 'The Future Business Environment'. He runs the EADA green society with Alexis Mavrommatis, and holds regular workshops with students on topics such as: Fairtrade, The Future of Food and Does Consumerism make us Happy and Healthy?

Mireia Montane holds a Master in Hospitality Management with specialization in Human Resources from the University of Nevada (Las Vegas, USA) and a BA in Anglo-Germanic Philology from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Mireia has served as Executive Director and HR Consultant for La Mola Hotel & Conference Centre, HR Director of Renaissance Barcelona Airport Hotel and for Ark Las Vegas Restaurant Corporation in the U.S. Mireia is Director of the International Master in Hospitality Management and the International Master in Human Resources and teaches on both programmes.

MARCUS EDUARD WEENK

Ed Weenk has a degree in Business Studies with specialization in logistics and also holds a postgraduate degree in Supply Chain Management from the Eindhoven Technical University and an MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management (Netherlands). He has extensive experience in managing logistics and distribution projects, having worked for several years for the logistics operator DHL / Danzas Solutions. Ed currently works as an independent consultant and is an associate professor at EADA on the Supply Chain programmes.

Dr. ALINE D. MASUDA
People Management

Aline D. Masuda holds Ph.D. and Master’s degrees in Industrial Organizational Psychology from the State University of New York-Albany and Missouri State University respectively. Previously, she was a senior project manager for International Survey Research, currently part of Towers Watson, where she worked with corporate clients such as BP, Novartis, and Underwriter Laboratories. She also worked at the workforce research and marketing intelligence departments at IBM and was a post-doctoral researcher at IESE Business School. Aline conducts research in motivation and leadership, employee attitudes, work-family enrichment, and flexible working arrangements across cultures.

Xavier Sales is a doctor in Business Organization from the Universitat Abat Oliva and MBA from the Katholik Universiteit Leuven (Belgium). He worked in the Financial Management of the companies REVLON Spain and CATA Appliances. He has contributed to several books and published two. His participation in conferences and congresses is noteworthy, as are his academic papers; an example is the Journal of Money, Investment and Banking. Currently, he combines research in Management Control Systems, Strategic Management Accounting and Performance Measurement with teaching at EADA.
