Would you like to develop your public speaking skills?

EADA has its own oratory club as part of Toastmasters International

Since 1924, Toastmasters International has been helping millions of professionals worldwide to speak in public with style and confidence.

Toastmasters is present in 113 countries through 13,000 clubs and 260,000 members. They are present in public and private organizations, in the military, in social clubs and of course in Universities such as Harvard, Yale, Cornell, MIT, etc. They are also present in Barcelona and through EADAAlumni, EADA is the first Business School in Spain with its own public speaking club.

What do you need to join our EADA Toastmasters Club?

• To be a member of the business professional community (if you are an EADAAlumni you will have additional benefits)

• The desire to be a better speaker and leader.

• Attend a meeting / demonstration in EADA.

• Have a proficiency level of English.

• Pay the corresponding fee ?.

The club is aimed at:

Business School students and professionals with more than 5 years of work experience and an appropriate level of English for public speaking.

(Even though the club meetings are carried out primarily in English, members may choose to perform speeches in Spanish too.)

Meetings: Every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month, except holidays (when falling on a holiday, the Meeting is scheduled on the Monday prior)

Time: 19.30 to 20.45

Place: EADA at c/Aragó 204, Barcelona (ask for exact classroom at the front desk)

Fees:

i) Past Club Members renewing membership 86€/year

ii) EADA Alumni joining EADA Toasmasters Club 96€/year

iii) Other new members 116€/year

Fees entitle you to New Member Package (Competent Communicator® and Competent Leader® books + booklets), free attendance to all meetings, delivery of at least 5 speeches in one year (only in EADA Toastmasters Club!), and participation in local area contests.

(Toastmasters International year runs from September to July)
